CIRKULIACIJA | Dear Pressure

Contemporary circus piece “Dear Pressure” is a duet performance of two young circus artists Kęstas Matusevičius and Aino Mäkipää which can be considered a letter to pressure that we face in our everyday lives due to social norms. The performance explores prominent topics in the current society as dissatisfaction with body image, internalized gender roles.

Kanta is a contemporary circus company based in Lithuania, founded in 2020. Now run by Aino and Kestas, the duo creates multidisciplinary shows that are both entertaining and moving, performed on stage and site-specific. Kanta values sustainability, collaboration, and creativity, striving to evolve with each project. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, they aim to connect with broad audiences and introduce contemporary circus to the Baltic region, where the art form is still emerging. Their mission is to transform relatable moments into something extraordinary through circus.
