"Problems, problems, problems, problems... there is no life without problems, no work without problems... you could say that our job in this life is problem solving..." /Excerpt from Kristina Marija Kulinič's play/
Today, fast spirituality practices are used not only for personal recreational purposes, but also as a team building tool for employees of companies large and small. Burnt out after trying to self-actualise and having put themselves in an unrealistic healthy lifestyle framework (eight hours for sleep, eight hours for self, eight hours for work), the employees of a small company of festive balloons go for a team-building spiritual development camp.
There is no time for the spirit, just like there is no time for personal life, so co-workers become our family, and spirituality camps become religion and therapy. Two birds with one stone: bonding with colleagues and cleansing the soul!
This play introduces four individuals who are clearly out of place in their own lives. Much like the tightrope walker described by Friedrich Nietzsche, they are suspended between what they are and what they aspire to be, caught in a series of questionable spiritual development exercises on their path to a so-called “higher self.”
Man is something to be overcome. Man is a rope stretched between the animal and the Overman – a rope over an abyss […] What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not a goal: what is lovable in man is that he is an over-going and a down-going. — *Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
